More About Kelly

My Holistic Approach

My passion is nurturing healthy relationships; my approach to therapy helps my clients build secure relationships with those they love and a more secure sense of themselves. As a relational therapist, I am dedicated to helping you learn how to connect with others on a deeper level. Many of my clients are high functioning intellectualizers who struggle to understand why they emotionally react the ways they do, both in response to themselves and others.

In every session, my aim is to understand and be present with you. I am honored to support my clients through the nuances of both highs and lows. Together, we'll explore your story to find meaning, understanding, and pursue wholeness. I will support you in building awareness of the patterns and cycles that keep you stuck, as well as build empathy for why those patterns happen in the first place.

I use attachment-based and trauma-informed methods to provide the right support for each client, with my main approach being rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT is a well-researched, evidenced-based approach for both individual and couples therapy that focuses on strengthening relational bonds, rather than just improving communication or resolving conflicts. You can learn more about EFT here.

About Me

I hold a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. I also spent two additional post-graduate years at Denver Family Institute, gaining further training in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate in the state of Colorado.

I primarily work with adult individuals and couples. I love working with relationships — whether that is in individual therapy, helping you cultivate a healthier relationship with yourself, or with a couple who is struggling to communicate and connect in a more vulnerable way. I am a Christian, and for clients who desire it, I love integrating faith -- both the comfort and questions -- as part of our work together.

In my free time, I love to hang out with my husband and daughter, spend time outside or at local coffee shops, go on walks with my pup Milo, try new recipes, and play games with friends!
